Qualifications or Experience

  • Educated to degree level in a Food related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
  • Min 2-year experience working for min 12 months in a specifications role.

Responsibilities

1. Complete online and manual specification templates with recipe information, ingredients declaration, nutritional, allergen and all relevant safety and legal detail;

Job Overview
Teamwork Partnership are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to oversee our quality assurance processes and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance methodologies, including HACCP, and possess excellent analytical skills to identify areas for improvement. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with industry regulations and enhancing customer satisfaction through consistent product quality.

Duties

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HACCP standards.

  • Conduct regular audits of production processes to identify potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions.

  • Analyse data from quality control tests to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of quality throughout the organisation.

  • Train and mentor staff on quality assurance best practices and procedures.

  • Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, findings from audits, and recommendations for improvements.

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a quality assurance role, preferably within the manufacturing or food industry.

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and quality assurance methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

Main tasks of the job:

This is not an exhaustive list and you will be required to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the company and the overall business objectives of the company.

· Monitor product quality in the factory and through regular taste panels (lead the panels).

· With other managers. promote a Food Safety and Quality Culture within the business.

· Drive Food Safety compliance in the factory at all stages

· Manage the work of the QA Assistants

· Respond to and investigate consumer complaints.

· Review procedures through internal audits and recommend improvements.

· Aim to continually improve factory hygiene standards through the higher level GMP/Hygiene/Foreign body audits and feedback to production managers.

· Develop operational managers through audit outcomes and root cause analysis

· Ensure that all calibrated equipment is certified at the specified frequency.

· Liaise with the Pest Control contractor.

· Manage shift QA’s daily tasks, routine rota’s

· Support on new product trials, launches

· Support during 3rd party and customer audits (shop floor and traceability challenge)

· Challenge test CCP controls, facilitate on going site training on CCP and food safety factory floor practicality

· Help manage and facilitate factory projects

Hours of working

2 week rotational (6am till 2pm and 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday)

Teamwork Partnership is seeking for a skilled Technical Manager with a background in food industry to join one of their clients team in Bedford Area. The ideal candidate will oversee technical operations within establishment, ensuring smooth functioning and high-quality service and production delivery. The suitable candidate shall have strong leadership experience.

Responsibilities
- Supervise technical staff and provide guidance on daily tasks
- Manage technical aspects of food production and preparation
- Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs
- Implement health and safety protocols in line with industry standards
- Collaborate with culinary and restaurant teams to enhance operational efficiency

The successful candidate will be responsible with the Site Operations Manager for the Food Defence Programme. Responsible for the Documentation of the Food Defence System, including organising Training for all members, upkeep of the documentation, completion of the vulnerability assessment and close outs. All Levels.

Keep abreast of legal requirements, the latest industry guidelines and scientific information, and implement in the site

Organise and Document on Site Meetings. Including monthly management meetings (or equivalent), Quarterly KPI/Target reviews, Annual Management Reviews, HACCP Meetings. Communicate Site targets to all staff members.

Maintenance plan to be in place and documented to ensure product safety and legality. This includes (but not exhaustive) working with the maintenance team to have a preventative maintenance plan, approved suppliers, commissioning procedures, ongoing verification audits.

To ensure adequate Training is ongoing in the FSQ Team. All roles to be defined via a job description. Job roles, tasks and responsibilities to be documented via a maintained skills matrix, that form the basis of a training plan

Management of the Site Hygiene System. Ensuring the site is equipped with the Training, Equipment and Chemicals to ensure required levels of hygiene are met. Maintain levels of training within the hygiene team

Qualifications
- Previous experience in a technical role within the FMCG industry
- Knowledge of food production processes and equipment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication and strong leadership abilities
- Qualifications in culinary or hospitality management would be advantageous
